PROIBIDO PARA MENORES DE 18 ANOS

"Proibido para menores de 18 anos" (Forbidden for Under-18s) is a play that investigates the eroticization of violence in the media. The script follows a man who witnesses a car accident and becomes fascinated by the victim, exploring the erotic possibilities of violence and of the wounded body. The work is in dialogue with Georges Bataille's inquiry into eroticism, transgression and violence, and with J. G. Ballard's Crash, probing the borders between desire, body and destruction. On stage, representation and event merge when the director himself interrupts the play and physically assaults the actor, confronting spectators with their own position as witnesses and questioning our attraction to the morbid and the violent.
